Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to expand our presence in North America. This role is focused on driving sales of our quantum technology services to large enterprises and government agencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, with a passion for emerging technologies and a willingness to learn about quantum computing. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and driving revenue growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in North America, focusing on large enterprises and government sectors. Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including C-level executives and government officials. Understand client needs and articulate how Applied Quantum’s services can address their challenges and drive value.
- Sales Execution: Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing deals. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and contracts. Negotiate terms and manage the contract process to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in quantum computing and related technologies. Use this knowledge to position Applied Quantum as a leader in the market.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the technical and marketing teams to develop tailored solutions and marketing strategies that resonate with target clients. Provide feedback to the product team to help refine and enhance service offerings.
- Learning and Development: Continuously expand your knowledge of quantum technologies and their applications. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay current with industry advancements.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the technology or consulting sectors.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with emerging technologies, with a strong interest in quantum computing, cryptography, and related fields. Willingness to learn and stay updated on quantum advancements.
- Sales Acumen: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. Experience selling to large enterprises and government agencies is highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in business or technology are a plus. Or equivalent experience.
